The control of cooling for CNC machine tools is implemented by the PLC in the CNC system. The cooling button serves as an input signal connected to the CNC system. After processing by the PLC, this signal controls the CNC system to output a cooling output signal. This output signal is connected to the relay coil in the electrical cabinet. The relay contact controls the engagement of an AC contactor coil, and the contact of this AC contactor in turn connects or disconnects the power line of the cooling pump motor. Pressing the cooling button once energizes the cooling pump; pressing it again stops the cooling pump. Cycle back and forth
CNC equipment requires regular maintenance. How should the cooling system of a CNC lathe be properly maintained
1.Observe the oil pointer on the front of the water tank. When the cooling water decreases, it should be replenished in a timely manner. Generally, for the water outlet configuration around the spindle, at least the oil filter at the suction inlet of the cooling pump should be completely submerged in water.
2. When the cooling water becomes contaminated and deteriorates, it should be completely replaced in a timely manner. Remove the screw plug under the water tank to drain the waste liquid, clean the water tank, and then refill it with new, clean cooling liquid.
3.The cooling water tank is divided into two chambers: the water tank and the pump chamber. The filter screen can be easily removed for cleaning, making maintenance very convenient. Additionally, an oil filter is installed at the inlet of the cooling pump. Both of these devices should be inspected and cleaned promptly after a certain period of use on the CNC lathe.
4. Generally, the oil filter and filter screen should be cleaned every two months. In terms of achieving on-time, high-quality, and low-cost production, touch probes can provide more support than just aligning workpieces. That is to say, directly inspecting the geometric accuracy of machined workpieces on CNC lathes is also of great value. Because through this direct accuracy inspection, programming errors, tool defects, and adverse consequences of the machining process can be quickly detected.
The measurement on the three-coordinate measuring machine merely indicates whether the machined workpiece meets the requirements, and it cannot be used to distinguish the impacts generated among the CNC lathe, cutting tools, and the machining process. If the machining deviation of the workpiece is measured, it is difficult to determine the actual cause of the deviation. Therefore, appropriate or necessary corrective measures cannot be reliably derived from such measurement results.
The cooling device of a CNC lathe is as important as the lubrication device. Good cooling can improve the processing quality of the workpiece and extend the lifespan of CNC machine tool components.
